Prof. Joongoo Jeon is leading the development of AI core technologies for SMR applications by combining traditional nuclear numerical analysis technologies with the latest scientific artificial intelligence. Through numerous research projects, including the Global TOP Strategic Research Unit project, he has successfully developed innovative AI technologies (such as virtual reactors, hybrid solvers, and flow control technologies) for the design, analysis, and control of SMRs, establishing himself as a prominent emerging researcher. In addition to the AI field, he is also recognized as a leading expert in the evaluation of hydrogen flammability, one of the regulatory issues related to SMRs.
